How is the evangelical church responding to the two challenges of feminism and homosexuality?
How should it respond?

All too often the church has responded with judgment, condemnation, and little in the way of genuine love or understanding. We need to do a better job of loving others who are wrestling with these difficult issues, while at the same time not compromising revealed truth.

The issues of homosexuality and feminism are related in one sense: they both present similar challenges to traditional principles of Bible interpretation. New interpretive principles have been sought by some in an effort to render legitimacy to these positions.

In our summer Sunday School quarter, Pastors Chris and Robb explore both issues, examining the hermeneutics (interpretive principles) of feminism and homosexuality. We also present why we believe that the traditional interpretations best represent what God's Word says.
